First Look: Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Ra.1′

There is no denying the fact that Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Ra 1’ happens to be one of the most awaited projects in the year 2011. The movie has seen a lot of efforts from Shahrukh Khan who has been missing from the big screens after My Name Is Khan in February last year. Adding to the success quotient of the film is the fact that it is one of this year’s Diwali releases.
Analyst Komal Nahta of Film Information explains, “The film has kept Shah Rukh on his toes. It’s his most ambitious project so far and one of the most expensive films made in Bollywood. Heavy special effects and constant comparison with Robot have heightened expectations.”
Made under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, this sci-fi film will present SRK as G. One. Touted to be a superhero fantasy, SRK plays a normal guy living in London with his family. A twist in the plot turns him into a superhero.
The movie has been directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by SRK himself. Apart from the superstar, the film has Arjun Rampal, Shahana Goswami and Kareena Kapoor.

Shahrukh Khan Wants A New Face To Replace Priyanka Chopra In 2 States

Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘2 States’, which is going to make a big screen entry in Bollywood, has now got new hero, new director and may be a fresh heroine too! Initially, when Sajid Nadiadwala was the only producer for the film, Siddharth Anand was supposed to direct the movie with Priyanka Chopra and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles.
Later Saif opted out of the project and Shah Rukh entered the scene with the dual role of a lead hero as well as of a co-producer. Now, the film will be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj of Kaminey fame. When Vishal got the project, he fled to Berlin, where SRK and Priyanka was shooting for Don 2. Both of them were impressed with Vishal’s narration and agreed to be a part of the project.
However, things changed when SRK returned home in Mumbai. He went to meet Vishal and said that Priyanka will not be suitable for the role as the story demands a fresh face. The director also agreed and thus Priyanka was out of the film.
Now, they are in search of a fresh talented face, who can do justice to the role. Well, Priyanka has already done two films with King Khan so she should not mind on this decision. It will be interesting to see who becomes lucky to get an opportunity to share screen space with Shah Rukh in 2 States.

It is less than a week after the release of Farah Khan’s third directorial venture ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and Farah Khan has a lot of things on her mind which is giving her sleepless nights. Though Farah Khan has been trying hard to brush away the Shah Rukh Khan factor in her life, her once best buddy is continuously haunting her. According to reports in the media, Shah Rukh Khan has now come in the way of the promotional campaigns of Farah Khan’s upcoming release ‘Tees Maar Khan’.
The media is abuzz with reports of the film being a flop because Farah Khan’s films are successful at the box office only because of the presence of SRK in them, and ‘Tees Maar Khan’ is an exception to that factor. While Katrina Kaif was doing well in attracting the attention of the audience, it seems that Shah Rukh Khan is hell bent upon proving to Farah Khan that she cannot do without him! It so happened that at the recently held Mumbai Police Mela, the Tees Maar Khan team was promoting their film on stage, when Shah Rukh Khan walked out of the auditorium with an entourage of ten bodyguards. He was probably leaving the function and on his way home.
And when it is Shah Rukh Khan, attention will naturally be diverted. So the audience shifted their focus from Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Farah Khan performing onstage, to take a look at their favorite star Shah Rukh Khan. Farah Khan is reportedly annoyed with the superstar for his behavior. Farah must be biting her nails over the fact that if this is the effect SRK has upon the Indian audience, she must have made a mistake by not casting him in her film!

Shahrukh Khan Gets Fitness Conscious For Ra.One

The King Khan of Bollywood still has more to learn even after an extremely successful career spanning more than two decades. According to reports in the media, Shah Rukh Khan will learn gymnastics for his 2011 Diwali release Ra.One. It is true that SRK is known for his romantic appearances onscreen, but this time he wants to do something never seen before in his forthcoming home production Ra.One for which he is presently taking fitness lessons from physiotherapist Dr Ali Irani, the man who is known to have trained the Indian cricket team as well.
Reports from the sets of Ra.One claim that Shah Rukh Khan will not only be performing gymnastics through the course of the science fiction film, the actor will also perform some trapeze stunts for a song sequence. And the key to performing these difficult stunts is gymnastics, feels the actor. The special song sequence will have stunts, a horde of girls, a circus set and a fully clothed Shah Rukh Khan! Contrary to reports which suggested that SRK will again appear shirtless in Ra.One like he did for Om Shanti Om, director Anubhav Sinha has said in a statement to the media that Shah Rukh Khan will not remove his clothes.
Ra.One is definitely one of the most awaited releases of 2011 and with so much preparation going into the film by Shah Rukh Khan, his fans are waiting with bated breath for the film to hit the theaters.

Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan: The Battle Continues

Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan are two of the most popular Khans who are loved and adored by thousands of fans. However, as they say there cannot be two rulers in one kingdom, so the fight for the ultimate title has always been quite an issue with these two stars as they have always managed to topple each other at some point of time or the other.
There are those who believe that SRK is the ultimate B Town hero, others think that it is perfectionist Aamir Khan who is the be all and end all of Bollywood, but the war still wages on. To talk about B-Town releases, both are at an equal platform, as both stars have hits and super hits that are proof enough to show that each one has his own standing in the world of stardom.
However, there is a slight twist in this competition now. Reports are that both the stars are to do projects with International directors that too, both will be working on projects that deal with the basic storyline of the city of Mumbai.
Shahrukh Khan is to do a project with Danny Boyle, who is scheduled to adapt Suketu Mehta’s ‘Maximum City’, a novel which is very popular. Aamir Khan with director Paul Schrader, is to adapt ‘Ex-Treme City’ for producer Anubhav Sinha, which will be based in Dharavi, a slum area of Mumbai.
Now the argument that is going around is that will these two stars be able to deliver something different on the same subject? There is a group that feels that Mumbai is such a city with so much diversity that no two films made on the subject of this city’s life can be the same. Others feel that with the city of Mumbai having a somewhat same flavor, there is not much of a chance to have different flavors in the two films.
With movies like ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and the just to be released ‘Dhobi Ghat’ which are both based on the city of Mumbai, albeit with different angles, it is somewhat being expected that a lot is still to be explored about this city, and hopefully Shahrukh’s and Aamir’s International projects on Mumbai will do the needful.
