Beautiful Model, Doutzen Kroes is blowing kisses

Curiously named Dutch stunner Doutzen Kroes (that’s “Dow-tzen Crews”, fellas) is hard at work again, being stunning and smiling at cameras. This comes
just two months after giving birth to her (also curiously named) son Phyllon with father DJ Sunnery James, who’s quite big in Dutch house music. Notice that the complete absence of any baby weight on Doutzen? Apparently this is no mean feat and is probably some sort of supermodel superpower.

As well as procreating, she’s done quite well for herself, ever since she decided to send a portfolio to Dutch modelling agency Paparazzi immediately after finishing school. You may have seen her on the covers of Vogue, Time, Seventeen, Elle and many more besides. In 2010 Forbes named her fifth in the world’s top earning supermodels. And, apart from being rich and famous Douzen is also an Angel for Victoria’s Secret. Can you guess why?



The new bra prototype stood up remarkably well to the stress tests.

She was recently seen out in the sun modelling with a surfboard emblazoned with the slogan “Make it a bombshell summer!” This was for Victoria’s Secret’s new summer range, Bombshell, which is very colourful and quite sexy (present for the lady in your life maybe?). We think that by holding the surfboard the implication in this case was that Douzen was a bombshell too. Very clever, Victoria’s Secret.
She also stretched a pink bra, blew kisses to the audience and stood next a placard with other alluring Angels on it. And she did this all so very well.

She was born in the town of Oostermeer, in Friesland, The Netherlands. After graduating highschool (HAVO) she send some snapshots to model agency Paparazzi in Amsterdam. Currently she is signed by DNA Models. Kroes has made the covers of Time, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Numero. She also appears regularly in the Victoria's Secret catalog and was featured in their fashion show in 2005 and 2006. Kroes has also been in campaigns by Gucci, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Escada, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Versace and Neiman Marcus.

In 2005, she was selected as Model of The Year on Vogue.com by readers. Kroes was named spokesmodel for the Calvin Klein "Eternity" fragrance campaign in August 2005 and, in April 2006, she signed a three-year contract with L'Oréal Paris.

In the May 2007 issue of American Vogue she was featured on the cover with fellow models: Hilary Rhoda, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova, Agyness Deyn, Coco Rocha, Jessica Stam, Chanel Iman, and Lily Donaldson as the new crop of supermodels.

In July 2007, earning at an estimated total of $1.5 million in the past 12 months, Forbes named her fourteenth in the list of the World's 15 Top-Earning Supermodels.
